When I was little, I had a dream about a secret little hiding space in the wall of my room. They didn't have Dora Pop Tents back then, and I really wanted my own little place. This is a take on this weeks theme for Inspire Me Thursday- this week's theme being "dark."
Back then I was a nerdy little bookworm (definitely a Hufflepuff). The book on the floor would have either been Where The Sidewalk Ends, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, or The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (ok, ok, could've been Dear God, Its Me Margaret too.)
okay, I think this is my favorite response to the dark theme out of them all....I love this illustration....completely love it.
ReplyDeletewow! thanks Ellie. :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same want for a secret room when I was a kid. I actually knew a girl who had one - her dad had finished the crawl space above their garage which you accessed from a 3 foot square opening in her room. She kept all her toys and books in there. It was really cool.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Really reminds me of my childhood too - I was forever building "cubby houses" and looking for my own secret spots. I remember once I took everything out of my wardrobe and made it into a little hiding spot with cushions and a torch so I could read. That lasted until Mum found out of course and made me put all the clothes back in!
