I'm taking yet another page out of Ms. Mori's book (visit her here.) And giving away some art. I wrote and hand-painted a series of poems from my book and would like to give this one away to one of my new blog friends. Write a comment- any comment at all- good, bad, I'll still throw your name in the draw. I'll pick a winner on Friday afternoon. Anyone is welcome to join in.
The poem is Far Away. Comes with a navy blue mat and hot pink metallic frame.
Far Away in a foreign land
sits a queen who leads
with an iron hand.
She rules her people
with force and fear
its simply awful,
that's why we live here.
Hey, Lisa Graves!
ReplyDeleteYour work is always so happy and cheerful and whimsical.
You are like the anti-josh pincus is crying.

ReplyDeleteI want it! I want it! I'm keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I admire your illustrations so much. I find myself on your site when ever you post on illustration friday. The brave illustration reminds me of me!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...love it! You are so talented. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa - this is so great :) You are a poet too, that's fab!
ReplyDeleteI just found your comment on my blog - asking what was in the background of the bird ornaments? It's an art print by Shag. Big fan of his work... This one is called 'She Dreams of the Alps'. I was working part-time in a cafe when i saw it in a gallery, I had hardly any money but I SCRIMPED and borrowed so it would be mine haha!
Pick me! Pick Me!
